Photographs taken by MEHER staff during project delivery and monitoring in Jaffarabad, Nasirabad and neighbouring districts.
Case studies
When the 2022 floods cut road access and contaminated open wells, MEHER placed storage tanks in affected settlements and refilled them daily by tanker.
Each tank was handed to a named caretaker with a posted contact number, so refill requests and faults came directly from the community.
Kitchen sets, bedding, tarpaulins and rope were distributed against verified household lists at village-level distribution points.
Women collected kits directly rather than through male representatives — a small design decision that shifted who controlled the aid.
Provincial learning events brought together district administration, police, religious leaders, journalists and community activists around one table.
Commitments made in public are easier to follow up on — MEHER tracks them through district-level campaign committees.
